It had a FULL SERVICE HISTORY and had been owned by a Doctor ALL IT’S LIFE however and was in very good order considering the £600 I sold it for! The buyer, who lives 150 Miles from me came, test drove the car and inspected it thoroughly before driving it all the way back home. Just less than a week after taking the car I received a letter (I will be more than happy to show this letter to ANYONE who comes to buy a car from me) DEMANDING immediate payment of £350 into his bank account as the car had developed an oil leak??? Now call me crazy but I don’t think a £350 payment against a car that was sold for £600 would be fair in anybody’s eyes...do you?? His letter states that if he didn’t get the money within 24 hours (oh, he wanted it quick) then he was going to leave me negative feedback!! He also went on to say that the oil had leaked on his ‘block paved’ drive and part of the charge was because he had to get his ‘drive cleaned’(Remember I will be happy to let you read it yourself!) However if you have a look at where this guy lives on Google street maps he is in a TERRACE HOUSE WITH NO BLOODY DRIVEWAY!!! (You just couldn’t make this up!!) I have contacted eBay as this is clearly ‘Feedback Extortion’ and they have removed his comments but not the ‘mark’. You might expect to see some serious signs of wear on a car of this age but you won’t any here! Without exception the electric mirrors, electric windows, remote central locking and everything else are working perfectly. The FULL ‘VECTOR SPROT’ TWO-TONE PARCHMENT / CHOCOLATE LEATHER SPORTS seats are not only SUPERBLY SUPPORTIVE AND COMFORTABLE but are in incredible condition and although you can see that they have been ‘sat in’ (remember they are Leather which is a ‘natural’ material) there are certainly NO HOLES, STAINS OR TEARS!. (Actually the only ‘fault’ with the whole car is that the handle on top of the driver’s seat that moves it so you can gain access to the rear is not working. There is a cable (like a bike brake cable) that has come loose and needs re-fixing….easy job and if you live local take it to my mechanic and he will fix it at my expense) You will find the door panels, roof covering, dashboard plastics, centre console, carpets and everything else in the car to be in very good and fully functional condition!! (Just a note on the carpets; They are all actually ‘AS NEW’ because they have been covered by genuine SAAB Tailored Floor Mats all their life! I have taken them out so that you can see the condition of the carpets underneath but they are in the boot ready for you to put back on!) There are no pieces of trim hanging off, no broken bits of plastic, no holes in the dashboard everything is where it should be. As stated all the electrics work and the bi-xenon headlamps are really bright. The stereo is a GENUINE SAAB PREMIUM UNIT with a TEN SPEAKER SOUND SYSTEM THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC!! The dashboard is back-lit gorgeously in a very sporty Hue and is clearly visible. The ‘Gentleman’ (I use the term very loosely) who has left the feedback bought from me a SAAB 9-5 SE Automatic. The car is a 99 T Reg and had covered 228,000 Miles! It had a FULL SERVICE HISTORY and had been owned by a Doctor ALL IT’S LIFE however and was in very good order considering the £600 I sold it for! The buyer, who lives 150 Miles from me came, test drove the car and inspected it thoroughly before driving it all the way back home. Just less than a week after taking the car I received a letter (I will be more than happy to show this letter to ANYONE who comes to buy a car from me) DEMANDING immediate payment of £350 into his bank account as the car had developed an oil leak??? Now call me crazy but I don’t think a £350 payment against a car that was sold for £600 would be fair in anybody’s eyes...do you?? His letter states that if he didn’t get the money within 24 hours (oh, he wanted it quick) then he was going to leave me negative feedback!! He also went on to say that the oil had leaked on his ‘block paved’ drive and part of the charge was because he had to get his ‘drive cleaned’(Remember I will be happy to let you read it yourself!) However if you have a look at where this guy lives on Google street maps he is in a TERRACE HOUSE WITH NO BLOODY DRIVEWAY!!! (You just couldn’t make this up!!) I have contacted eBay as this is clearly ‘Feedback Extortion’ and they have removed his comments but not the ‘mark’. It had a FULL SERVICE HISTORY and had been owned by a Doctor ALL IT’S LIFE however and was in very good order considering the £600 I sold it for! The buyer, who lives 150 Miles from me came, test drove the car and inspected it thoroughly before driving it all the way back home. Just less than a week after taking the car I received a letter (I will be more than happy to show this letter to ANYONE who comes to buy a car from me) DEMANDING immediate payment of £350 into his bank account as the car had developed an oil leak??? Now call me crazy but I don’t think a £350 payment against a car that was sold for £600 would be fair in anybody’s eyes...do you?? His letter states that if he didn’t get the money within 24 hours (oh, he wanted it quick) then he was going to leave me negative feedback!! He also went on to say that the oil had leaked on his ‘block paved’ drive and part of the charge was because he had to get his ‘drive cleaned’(Remember I will be happy to let you read it yourself!) However if you have a look at where this guy lives on Google street maps he is in a TERRACE HOUSE WITH NO BLOODY DRIVEWAY!!! (You just couldn’t make this up!!) I have contacted eBay as this is clearly ‘Feedback Extortion’ and they have removed his comments but not the ‘mark’. year and it never let us down on anything, and was real pleasure to drive. Previously it was a company car and all those miles were done on motorways. As the mechanic told me that after replacing it has to be programmed in to a ECU, but only the SAAB dealers have that kind of equipment. I have decided not to take to SAAB (money problem) and as i do not do any sort of extreme driving it make no difference for me what so ever. Here we have in our possession a Stunning and Fully Loaded 2003/53 Saab 9-5 2.2 TID Vector Sport Saloon in Manual Form, this Superb Example of the ever so popular Saab 9-5 comes with an Immaculate Black Leather Trim with all your usual Vector Refinements including, 17" Alloys, Air Conditioning, Climate, Cruise and more. This Truly Stunning Saloon is in Excellent condition throughout and is as genuine as they come. It is very level and looks very straight from all 4 corners. It has an MOT Certificate valid until the 18th of June 2012 with NO Advisories showing at its last test, (I will include a Brand New 12 Months MOT with the sale if the right price is agreed). Unfortunately on collection of this vehicle no service book was passed on to me, I have checked under the bonnet and both the oil and water are clean and fresh looking and all fluids are at the correct levels, I have also been in touch with VOSA and they can confirm the mileage at the following intervals: 2007 64416 miles, 2008 86838 miles, 2009 106365 miles, 2010 119066 miles, 2011 129526 miles. Please take into account that the car is now 9 years old and has covered 139,000 miles, having no history book at this age isn`t the end of the world, they can easily be misplaced. It may be a long shot but I have written to the previous owner to see if they have any history or could inform me of any service and repair work. It`s worth a try, it has proved dividends in the past. Also this engine is Chain Driven Not a Timing/Cambelt so not much to worry about here! Most of my vehicles come with Full Service Histories and when they don`t they are sold at trade value giving the customer Excellent Value For Money. This Saab 9-5 is a real eye-catcher and really defies its age and mileage, if I said it had done 60k you wouldn`t question it. It just goes to show what can be acheived when a vehicle has been looked after correctly, the previous owners have done there utmost to keep this Saab in Excellent order and they have definately succeeded, it would grace any used dealer forecourt and wouldn`t look out of place next to an 08 or 09 model. I bet this Saab has been garaged most of its life. I have given this Sporty Saab Diesel Saloon a thorough test drive over the last 2 weeks and have travelled around 100 miles overall and I cannot fault it in any way, it starts, drives and stops as it should. It is Extremely Practical and one of the most Comfortable cars I have owned. It is also very Economical it produces on average 40 MPG and a little more when on the motorway, that is what I achieved when travelling to West Yorkshire this week, this vehicle did a 50 mile trip up the motorway and performed effortlessly, it will overtake without issue and the power from the 2.2 Diesel unit is there when needed. No issues at all! On start up the engine is quiet and sounds positive, it revs freely and is very eager to pull in every gear. The Steering and handling are perfect, you turn the wheel and it instantly responds there is no sign of wheel wobble or drift here. The brakes are sharp and brought me to a swift stop and in a straight line. The gearbox is fine, all gears are selected with ease and the clutch is just above halfway. 1 point to mention on test drive there is a slight noise when setting of or accelerating which sounds like a loose mount, it doesn’t affect the drive but you can hear it. To be honest when behind the wheel the only way of telling this Saabs mileage is by looking at the odometer (139k), it feels as tight as a drum and is a true testament to its Previous Keepers. Overall this is a Superb example of the ever so popular Saab 9-5 TID, it looks and drives Fantastic and is the Flagship Model (Vector). You will not be disappointed. I really cannot fault this vehicle. Please take into consideration that this car isn`t new, there is some minor blemishes as expected and everything stated is my opinion which may differ from yours so a viewing is highly recommended. I am an honest person and I value my 100% feedback highly, I take time and put effort into my work, if there is anything to report fault-wise I do!! Please view this vehicle with total peace of mind, any questions please give me a ring. It has now covered 139,000 miles in 9 years which is only very average really. These engines were built to last and have been renowned over the years as being bombproof if looked after correctly. With regular oil changes there is no reason why this car will not go around the clock once again. We have had many Saab Diesels in stock with 200k on the clock and they still drove great. Have a look at others for sale some have 200k showing and they are still fetching £2500 plus! What a cheap vehicle ours is! This fine example comes totally standard with no modifications or silly after-market touches and it hasn`t been passed from pillar to post with 6/7 owners showing on the logbook like the majority advertised. I am not going to say that "this is the best or the cheapest on the net" but if you are in the market for a Genuine, Clean and Tidy Saab that hasn’t been abused in Vector form and want change from £1800 then you will not go wrong with this example, it is very level and comes with all your usual Vector Refinements. Please see feedback and view in confidence. | As you can see from the pictures this very highly rated family saloon is in Excellent condition throughout and has been Extremely Well Kept by its Previous Owners. It comes in Metallic Grey paintwork that looks Stunning from all 4 corners with no nasty touch ups or botched repair jobs, this car has been valeted and is gleaming, hard to believe that it has covered 139k and is 9 years old. The Exterior is Very Clean and Tidy when taking age and mileage into account, there is no damage around the bodywork and all panels are totally straight with matching gaps all-round. From 5 paces away this Saab 9-5 looks very level on all fronts and really does look the part. There is no major scratches, scuffs, dents or missing trim to be seen and no rot or harsh rust that you sometimes see under the arches or at the bottom of the door panels. Overall this is a clean vehicle. I have tried to show everything in the high definition pictures for your own peace of mind! As expected on any used vehicle there is the odd minor ailment that I prefer to mention, there is a slight scratch around 3 inches long to the bonnet, there is the odd rear bumper mark that you find from loading up the boot and your usual stone chips to the front end but that is it, remember this is a 2003/53 model! With a regular polish I am certain that any swirls and cosmetic marks will be cleared, non of the minor issues stated need any attention and do not detract the overall good looks of this Stunning Saab. 90% wouldn`t even notice but I would rather state this and be honest as I find this to be best practice. No wasted journeys here. Obviously the car is now 9 years old so you may find the odd age related blemish here and there and a pin dint from Tescos carpark but that is it, there are no eye-sores or anything that jumps out at you. I am very critical on all my cars as I like to be as honest as possible before viewings. Any questions please just ask. All 4 Alloy wheels are in Excellent condition with no major marks and all 4 tyres have ample tread on them and will not need replacing for some time. Inside the Interior is in very good condition and holding up Extremely well, there are no signs of any abuse or neglect here, the Full Black Leather Trim is Super Clean with no rips, scuffs or burns and there is no sagging material coming from the bolsters. The rears look like they have only been sat in a handful of times. The floor carpet is also very clean and tidy throughout with no nasty stains, toffee marks or holes in the foot wells and have been protected by overmats and the headlining, door-cards and dash area are all in tact and pretty much spotless. You will not be disappointed with the overall condition of this Stunning Saab 9-5 Diesel Saloon. | The car starts 1st time and it drives A1, there are no knocks or bangs or any other odd noises, (apart from the noise mentioned when accelerating) the engine ticks over as it should with no smoke coming from the exhaust, the gearbox is nice and tight and selects all gears with ease and the clutch is just above halfway biting in the right spot. The handbrake and brakes operate perfectly. It returns 40 MPG around the town and up to 60 MPG on a motorway journey (approx) this Saab 9-5 TID is one of the most Economical family cars I have owned, it will do 100 motorway miles on £10 no problem it really does run on fresh air. The drive performance and the build quality is exactly what you would expect from a 2.2 TID Saab, it`s Reliable, Practical and Full of Extras, these TID’s are a joy to drive and would suit any kind of driver, this 2.2 TID Manual example feels very responsive when you put your foot down, there is no sluggishness or signs of hesitation felt. The sport suspension is firm and the car handles well with crisp and precise steering, it really does stick to the road like glue. Being the 2.2 model it’s Super Quick and will keep up with most hot hatches. In terms of everyday usability these Saabs are up there with the very best and will perform on every occasion! Around the town it is very versatile and will get you into tight parking spaces no problem with its light precise steering and it will weave in and out of traffic just as well as a small hatch, even the not so confident road user will enjoy being behind the wheel of this vehicle. For all its Space, Practicality and Versatility, it’s the way this car drives that sets it apart from its rivals, it performs on every road type and has everything you could wish. I have test driven this Ford on every type of road and it performs effortlessly on each, I found it really comes into its own on long hauls, it`s Extremely comfortable with a great feel through the controls and it`s more than capable at high speeds. Even when in the overtaking lane at 70 MPH the rev counter sits at around 2500 RPM giving in the region of 60 MPG, the engine is hardly being worked at these speeds, the suspension will ride potholes like they are not even there and the cabin effectively shuts all external noise out, what more could you ask for. It has good levels of safety and security equipment too plus goodies such as Black Leather Seats, Air Con and a CD Player. Also the good Reliability factor means you shouldn’t need to have the car fixed too often, these engines are known to be bombproof if serviced regularly and labour rates are more than acceptable too even at the main dealers so basic servicing and maintenance won’t mean you have to delve too deeply into your pockets. Used parts are generally cheap too and very easily accessible through ebay/scrapyards etc. Things are even better if you take the car to an independent where you’ll find average costs among the lowest for any make. Inside the cabin you get all the gadgets you could wish for and a very comfortable seating position that goes hand in hand with good visability, the layout out of controls is also very intelligent with switches for the stereo attached to the steering column making selection easy whilst driving and as for space this Saab will fit 5 adults no problem with ample head and legroom. Space is a strong point with these 9-5’s, the cabin is very wide and spacious and in the boot you could get up to 3 suitcases in with room either side. There is also a Tow-bar fitted with plug in facility. | These Saab Vector Sports are a great bit of kit and a lot of thought was put in when on the production line, this Top Of The Range model has everything you could wish for and more. There is very good reason why these cars are so popular and appealing to families and have been 1 of the UK’s number 1 selling saloons for many years. This version is very cheap to run and practical and comes with many extras. This is a totally standard and unmolested Saab that seems to have been in the right hands, at 139,000 miles this engine is only just runin and will go to the moon and back if maintained correctly. A good companion for me over the last 4 years and well looked after by only other owner (an elderly gent who had done 13k in 2 years) and by me (main dealer service history). New tyres in mid 2011. Hasn`t worked too hard - no towing or lugging - just getting me from A to B and UK holidays. Bought it after 20 years of driving GT sportscars when petrol and road tax started to spiral and I couldn`t justify the expense. Now I work 5 minutes from home and do very low miles, so I`ve gone back to an Alfa Romeo GT! Hence the Saab is now surplus to requirements.
